Meddling Kids!!!

anyone know how to get gum off your car without messing up your paint job??? No, luckily it didnt happen to me, but my friends car has about 6 pieces of chewed gum on the drivers side door and is scared to death to touch it. Can anyone gimme some tips?

The only thing I can tell you is to use a product called Goo Gone. I used it to get some sticky stuff off of my car and it worked great. You can get it probably at any car store like pep boys or autozone. K-mart and Wal-mart sell it too. Hope that helps.

Use some ice to make it cold... that makes it less sticky and it may just fall right off.

just gum, shouldn't worry too much... clearcoat is protecting the paint..isn't it?

i had the same problem it looked like some kid had a hole think of big leage chew in his mouth and spit it out so i could run it over...it went from the front clear back to the rear bumper. but anyways i put my desk lamp near the car so it would heat it up . then it just wiped off.

When in doubt, use car-wax. I like the regular old Turtle Wax in liquid form. All you need is that and alot of elbow grease.

Yesterday I got a huge mark out of my GF's car where somebody hit her. There was no dent, and the black came off with some fierce rubbing. It left a small brown mark where the paint was burned from the friction from the impact of the car.
