Twisted valve cover gasket possibly. Did you torque the valve cover to 86 in/lbs in the correct torque sequence? Did you put RTV on the corners where the valve cover curves for the camshaft? Did you use an OEM valve cover gasket? I've seen problems with after markets where they won't stay seated well in the valve cover.

I would take the valve cover off and inspect the gasket. I've had this happen to me before, but I it was twisted in the rear.

There are flat spots on the valve cover gasket that should have a dab of RTV on them where it meets the camshaft.

I can try to get a picture of the area for ya, but looks like a cam plug to me. The transmission end of the cam has a plug in the end of the bearing cap, look there. It is a plastic plug, but it has an oring. Pop it out pop the new in. Your egr doesn't have to come off, but it sure helps. It is pretty tight with it in there.

I thought he said he replaced that in his title "cylinder head cap". I could be wrong.

I took a closer look at the pictures and can see you didn't use an OEM valve cover gasket because it's blue.

I found the source of the leak,

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y16...r/IMG_1850.jpg

it is dripping quite considerably under this item.

That looks like the VTEC solenoid, but you said you have an LX. I don't know what that is for an LX.

If it was the VTEC solenoid, the first picture would be of the oil pressure switch and the second, the solenoid it self.

If it was an EX it would be part of piece 9 in the below drawing.

Sure. Anything can leak that has a gasket.

You might want to consider replacing the oil pressure switch o-ring as well since you already have it off the car and apart.

I'm sure it was clean oil as much as you probably had to put in it to keep it full. That was a pretty serious leak.

BTW, thanks for starting this thread. I went out and checked mine and it looked like there was some weepage under it.

I went to my dealer and bought all three gaskets and just now replaced them. So again, thanks for starting this thread.
