New member! Just wanted to say hello!
Well, I joined this forum because my wife has a 2007 honda Civic EX and it's getting up there in milage. Just hit 80k and I've been slacking on maintenance (No, not on oil
), so I figured a Civic forum would be a wise thing to join.
I'm not new to forums, so hopefully I wont make any newbe mistakes, but I'm looking forward to the information available on here! I'm a car guy and a DIYer so I'm excited to learn about hondas.
My personal car is a 2003 Mustang Cobra that I rescued and brought back to life! I know, I know, it's a Ford
I will say this, the wife's civic is WAY more comfortable to drive than the mustang and whenever the wife is out of town, I take full advantage of her car!
Plans on the civic.....I want to lower it eventually, install some SI yellow Fog lights and get an SI wing on it. No VTEC or SI stickers, just keep it clean. I'd like to put rims on it to, just not sure what direction to go with. No exhaust or performance mods will ever touch the car as I think it's perfect as is.
Anyway, like I said, I look forward to getting to know you guys/girls and taking advantage of the information on this site.

That's because they are on sale at TireRack. I am saving up for a set (after I get coilovers) and they are on sale for around $200 a piece. They are a racing wheel so they are super lightweight, if your not concerned about that and just want the look then Drag makes a knock off version called the dr-21. It's still lightweight but not as much as the rpf1's. I am considering them just because they are like half the price and with the roads here in DE I won't cry when they get a scuff. Also another company with knock off wheels, at a great price is Rota. There are mixed reviews on Rota quality but if not racing it then I would trust them. I have seen RFP1's in other colors so I think Enkei can paint them for you also.
Real RPF1's

Fake DR-21's

Well, it's been a long while since I've posted. Civic is now my car and the wife got her dream car which turned out to be a 2014 Subaru Outback! I sold the Cobra, bought an FRS and enjoyed her for a bit. It was fun, but not my dream car. I traded her in and surprised the wife with her Outback! Love how happy she is with the car.
Anyway, the Civic is now my DD for a couple years until I can get into an Aston Martin.
Ordered a couple things today, just to "make her mine"
- yellow fog lights
- new shifter boot
- new Momo shift ****
Also plan on pulling off the factory tint as it is bubbling horribly. Going to rock no tint. I want to keep the car for a total of 10 years and invest the car payment for the final 3 years….. (although the car was paid off a couple years early)
So here we go! Not going to do anything crazy with the car as it is a PERFECT DD, but I will mess with it a little. I've been a car guy for awhile. She's gonna look GREAT by the time I'm done with her.

Those would look amazing! Should I be worried there is no price on tirerack?
