The ac did not work on my 02 ex canadian when i purchased it. Tested the system and found it to be a faulty clutch on the compressor.
Replaced compressor and filter. Charged the system and it works great. Problem is the ac turns on when i press the ac button off, and turns off when i turn the button on.
Could it be the ac button?
Driving me nuts cause when i turn the fan speed setting to off the ac stays on.

The gauge cluster is lit up that orange red color and my radio and backlighting lights up white when the lights are on. Wondering if the previous owner changed that center radio console part. Ive never been in another 7th gen civic. Is your backlighting red or white? Its a canadian built civic so i dont know if it got messed with because the cluster is mph.

I have an 02 ex not canadian though. The back lights for the climate control ***** and the three ***** are supposed to be that same orange red color. They can be made white and would not be very hard at all. There is a red film that makes the light that color and if removed, the backlights would be plain white.
