Help with EM2 Coilovers.....will ep3 coilovers fit my EM2
Help with EM2 Coilovers.....will ep3 coilovers fit my EM2
Hello I saw a few other forums about this topic but no recent or direct answers on my model.
I own a 2002 Civic Lx with stock suspension. Im not sure about the crash bolt size nor what a crash bolt is. Im looking to lower it 1-3 inches on coils but can't find any specified for my model under $700. Im only looking to spend less than $500. I found these coilovers for an ep3 same year and i was wondering if i would have to mod them and how i would do that or if they bolt right on? Also if anyone has any feedback about the website let me know....thanks.

Those should fit your car. I have a friend with a 2002 Coupe who has the same kit. I don't believe he had to modify anything. Worse case scenario, you may just have to order some kind of reducing washer for the crash bolt. Your car should have a 14mm bolt (04-05 EM2 has 16mm) and it's a possibility that EP3s have 16mm, but I'm not positive.
Just a fair warning though, any coilover set below $800 is not going to last you very long. A lot of the guys on this forum will hate on Racelands all day. If I were you, I'd save up a little more and go with Ground Control sleeves + shocks, Skunk2 Pro-S II, or Tein Street Basis, which are all pretty good entry level setups.
With something as important as suspension, you mustn't cheap out. You get what you pay for.

Spend more money and get a decent set of full coilovers. Megan, Tein, Function Form, Progress, they all make good kits for the EM2's I have Megans and love them.
Do it right the first time, or don't bother.
