CEL-Knock Sensor code
CEL-Knock Sensor code
I have an 01 EX and I'm getting a knock sensor code. I looked up the location of the sensor to check if it came loose or anything but it didn't. So, I'm wondering where I go from here. What are the chances it's just a bad sensor? The engine doesn't seem to be making any odd noises.

Re: CEL-Knock Sensor code
P0325?
Disconnect the KS connector.
Turn the key to ON (do not start the engine).
Connect meter to battery neg.
Check for 5v on the red/blue wire in the KS connector.
If the 5v is present.........
.... then you play swaptronics.
Connect a "known good" knock sensor and see if the code resets.
If no, then install the new sensor.
If yes, then PCM.

Re: CEL-Knock Sensor code
Thanks. I took it to a dealer after the code showed up and one of the mechanics just raised it up, cleaned it off and added some dielectric grease. He then cleared the code and I took it for a 35 mile drive and it didn't show up again. I know the light can take a while to come back on but I'm hoping that it not showing up yet is good news.
