New clutch, need to replace/refinish flywheel?
New clutch, need to replace/refinish flywheel?
If I'm having the clutch replaced in my 2003 Civic, should the flywheel be refinished or replaced as part of that job?
I found one DIY guide that emphasized the need to refinish the flywheel at a shop or replace it, but that's not been mentioned in the quotes I've received so far.

Re: New clutch, need to replace/refinish flywheel?
Rule of thumb is to resurface the flywheel or replace it. I like to compare this to pads and rotors. If you're just replacing the pads, you'd need to turn the rotors so the pads have an even surface to seat onto.
