Ok, I was driving our 2001 Honda Civic EX, 155555 miles, standard transmission (my husband actually thinks its 'his' car). I pulled into our garage and I accidentally stalled it and then it wouldn't start again. He's not happy. Says I should be driving my own car, but he used a lot more words than that.

We jump the car and it starts immediately. He lets it run A LONG time.

This morning it wouldn't start again. He's still not happy, at all.

I truly, DID NOT leave any lights on anywhere in the car.

I realize we can go get another battery but my question is could the stall have caused this and are there any possible underlying electrical issues that could cause this to happen with a new battery?

Other suggestions?

Has to be something else. People stall manuals all the time and they should start right back up and go. i would try to get it to the nearest auto parts store and have them do a free electrical system check. that will tell you if the battery and/or alternator is bad. its possible the battery is just too old and barely has enough juice to start the car. or the alt may have died and slowly taken the battery with it. Tell your husband to worry about something else. stalling a car isnt the end of the world.
