Hey guys,

I have a 2008 civic coupe EX automatic transmission and there's been this weird shaking that happens sometimes when I'm driving. When the car hits 14-18 mph it starts to vibrate and stutter until it shifts itself to 3rd gear at 19-20 mph.

This happens only when the car is a little warmed up and when I am accelerating slowly. The car has been doing this since I had 25-30k miles on it. I have 49k miles on it currently and now I sometimes feel the vibration around 25mph as well. I'm thinking it is a transmission problem since it happens leading up to a switch between 2-3 gears (and now slightly when going from 3-4), has anyone else had this kind of problem or know what the source of this problem could be?

Will changing the transmission fluid help this at all or will I need to take this to the Honda dealership and have them fix it? Any help, advice, suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

yeah changing the fluid is a good start.

I had a broken passenger side motor mount that had intermittent shutter problems scratching my head- some times on start up, some times not,
then in reverse only.. then on low MPH up shifts.... not consistent at all.

Finally took it in, and that was it - broken mount.
