Congrats man, good luck with the new car, and drop by from time to time to keep us updated on the progress of the car.

Gotta love the Protege5....I test drove one before I bought my 7th Gen and loved the hell out of it!! That car handles like a champ!! Its not the quickest, but would run nicely after I/H/E....Good luck with it!

why didn't you get that then, instead of the civic?
The P5 still wasn't available when I bought mine. But it would've been a toss-up for me if it was available. I've heard though, that it is quite loud on the highway (lots of wind noise), and almost all of them have this very loud engine rattle when it's cold. Also, they're not nearly as fuel efficient as the civics.

hahaha bastards! i still love the civics, don't get me wrong and i'm not one of those that start hating civics after i move onto another car. Well as far as the rattling goes, i don't hear anything yet, and let's not start a discussion about MP5 flaws vs the civic cuz i owned one remember?
As far as seeing me in u're rear view mirror? yea.. i'm still under 100 Km on my ODO..
