Suspension drop on 2004 Sedan
Suspension drop on 2004 Sedan
Hey everyone.. I'm looking into dropping my 2004 lx sedan. It will be on stock rims for now and looking to get new rims over the next 2 years. There is a ton of info and I have read all the Sticky's and threads about drops, but there isnt much info on dropping a sedan.. most ppl discuss 2dr drops. I know the weight is different. I dont have any subs or anything in the rear thatd make it heavy heavy..
I have a smaller budget since I am at a 4yr, but every year I like to do one major thing to my civ. Any suggestions from other 4dr droppers on companies (tien, eibrecht, etc)? and then price? Id be looking for just regular springs in the front.. maybe 1.5in in the front and 1in in the rear cuz the weight? Let me know! Thanks.
I'm keen on any sedan drop pics!

Re: Suspension drop on 2004 Sedan
Sedan drops really aren't much different than coupe drops, the primary difference would be the added weight causing spring sag in the rear more quickly and an uneven stance.
The simplest option for a sedan to combat that issue would be full coilovers, but you'd be in the range of $1000 to go that route. The other options would to piece together a set of springs, with 1.5 drop up front and 1.0 drop in the rear or a set of ground control coilover sleeves that have adjustable heights. Regardless, as I'm sure you saw in the stickies, upgrading the struts and shocks is an important step.
