Noob looking for your expert opinon

Hello, I have 2004 Civic Ex 5speed its got 137kmiles. I have a feeling it could use shocks or springs. But am unsure which it needs.

When we drive over a speed bump it almost always bounces down causing a scraping sound. (springs?) Even when I go very slow. When parked, it sits level, not hanging lower in the back or the front. But speed bumbs and drain dips suck for the car.

I am not really interested in sway bars or the such, but on a side note my friend had a infiniti g354door, same year as my car. I enjoyed its sporty suspension response. Wondering if while repairing or addressing my cars spring/shock issue .. if a similar ride quality can be achieved? So please feel free to give any advice,

1.) do i need shocks, springs or both?
2.)What is a nice spring or shock you would recommend that does not lower my car very much.
3.) will this give a more sporty ride ?

Thank you very much for your time!

springs are a lifetime part rarely needs changing. shocks when bad can cause bounce and scraping because there is nothing to absorb impact. most here go with the tokico HP/blue shocks and struts combo for around $350. nice firm ride with good handling. if you want the car lowered a bit, go with eibach prokit 1 inch lowering springs. they work well with the shocks i mentioned too. but if you lower, you also need a camber kit to properly align the car. SPC is a good brand.
