hello guys i have a 2001 honda civic with 209*** miles theres problem my engine has started to knock and i got a mechanic over to look at it he said it was the camshaft i was like wtf ?? makes no sense so i go an actual honda mechanic (buddy of mine) to look at it and he said it was most likely the valves needed to be adjusted so we did, i let him adjust them, we put everything back together truned the car on and it was still knocking so we took everything back off rechecked all the valves put everything back together again and still knocking but not as bad as before but its still pretty loud he said best thing would be to take it to a shop and have them look at it to see if its a piston slap or something like that, what do you guy may think it be anything other than that ? and if it is would it be better to fix the piston slap or just buy a used engine ??
