Does anybody know if there is a difference between the exhaust of the 8th and 9th gen civics?(as far as dimensions and piping goes) I'm interested in a small increase in sound, enough to hear it over the road without getting raspy and obnoxious.

Fyi, I have a 1.8l sohc ivtec. The only difference I know of is the 9ths have a epa rating of PZEV compared to the 8th ULEV.

It's hard to say, but there probably is some difference.

I'd personally wait until exhausts are released for 9th gens, it usually takes aftermarket companies a few months to start releasing products for new gens.

I own an 06 Si, so I've been keeping track of the 9th gen Si. I've heard that the exhaust is one unit for 9th gen, so you can't put a custom header or cat-back seperately on the vehicle. Aftermarket makers will have to make a header and cat-back one unit to be compatible with the car. I heard that on a video, and I'm hoping the guy was talking out his ***, cuz if that's true then Honda will have really screwed the pooch.
