Possible DIY for Injen CAI problem.
I know that there has been alot of talk about the water int he engine issue. Some have bought a AEM BPV, which is a good idea. And some are just going with out it. Well I think that I have come up with a cheap and easy way to stop some of the water from getting sucked up. I went to Lowes, and bought some plexy class to cover the area under the filter. If you guys have noticed there are several holes under the front bumper. Well all I did was cut that plexy class to fit over the holes. I took a screw thru the bottom of the bumpber and thru the plexy class, to hold it on place. I not the DIY type that give inches, and stuff like that, I just cut it to fit. lol But if someone wanted to use my idea and make it specs that will be cool. I plan on doing it again but alot better this time. Just didn't have the time to do it. But I hope this can hold me over for right now. My only concern is the amount of water that may come in from the top. Like from the hood and headlight. Any ideas? Anyway I hope this can help some of you! I got some pics that I'm gonna post. Hope they give you a good idea of what I did. I have to make the pics smaller.
A plexi-shield could be fitted above and below the intake, slope so that the front is more open, as a RAM AIR sort of contraption, plus it would sheild out the water. Just a thought! Maybe make it out of fiberglass for a cheaper, easier to mold peice. FUNNY STORY- I was writing this, when FART. Felt a poop coming on, so I went to the bathroom, and had the HOTTEST, RUNNIEST SH*T I ever have!!! Holy F*ck!!! Anyway, while I was on the throne, I thought of something else. It would not only serve as ram air, but a HEAT SHIELD, for true cold air induction. Nice idea. Once I get good at glassin', I'll buy me a CAI and do this. Post pics if noone else has by then.

The only water ingestion you have to worry about is if the whole filter is submerged in water. Besides that the filter can get as wet as it wants to and you will not have a problem.
