Civic SI Suspension

I stopped at the dealer yesterday and take a look at the new SI hatchback.
It has rear anti sway bar, and the suspension look shorter (shocks lengthwise) for either front and rear compare to the coupe model. Is my observation true?
If it's true, my question is, can we use the SI shocks on a coupe model?

I doubt they will work with the coupe, but you never know. EX's have a sway bar too, and why would you want si shocks rather than koni or some other performance manufacturer? Peace

I have Koni in the back but it still is a little bouncy. My car isn't that lowand I saw that your car is very low. Does it ride confortable with those Carrera shocks

Yeah I've tried adjusting the shocks. Maybe its my coilovers. I have Ground Control. I heard they are really bouncy. I think I might buy springs.

For sure...if u change over to springs you'll eliminate the problem...coil overs are probably the cheapest method of lowering your car short of cutting yer stock springs....trust me...if someone GAVE me coilovers I wouldn't install them on my car dude!!

TOOLOWCIVIC, for the rear suspension, look for Carrera
1. Chrome small body shock #3265.
2. Coilover kit #1951
3. Stud conversion
You still have to use your previous coilover spring or you need to buy a 2.5" dia. spring. The shocks is adjustable and they come in many different compression and rebound rate. The shocks were meant for hotrod car. The ride is very nice, not to bouncy. It eliminates bottoming out for the rear suspension (since the shocks are really short compare to OEM).
The problem with rear suspension is that we can't slam our car that low. The rear camber arm start hitting the frame.
The front suspension, you have to use koni because koni is 1.5 inches shorter than OEM shocks (since you have to cut the top part of the tubing 1.5 inches to get the guts out and replace it with the koni strut). If you use the OEM shocks, your front suspension start bottoming out.

In a simple word,
Rear suspension can't be lower than 3" drop no matter what kind of shocks you have because the camber arm start hitting the frame.
Front suspension, can be drop more than 3" without worry to bottoming out if you use koni.

Hope this help.
