New to Site, In need of help.....
I have a 1989 Civic DX 1.5L that I have been trying to resurrect. The car is completely stock in every way. Here is my problem....
I recently replaced the cylinder head, water pump, timing belt, tensioner, and related gaskets. The water pump had blown up, and a mechanic friend of mine thought there may been some damge to the head; so that got replaced while I was in there.
I'm relatively confident that everything went back together correctly. I spent alot of time on the repairs, and consulted several manuals, alldata procedures, etc..
The engine runs perfectly, however the car is smoking like crazy. I should note that it was a cropduster before the repairs as well. My assumption is that it is burning coolant, hence the white smoke.
Can anyone offer any possible causes for this; outside of the obvious ones(bad head gasket install, cracked head, etc.) I'm thinking coolant may be getting into the intake manifold somewhere? I am semi-familiar with engines, but learn quite quickly. I truly love this car and any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My best guess is that coolant is leaking somewhere
Check your engine oil, if it's becoming brown and sludge-y (the consistancy of...poo), its the gasket leak
I would open the hood, crank the engine and wait to see where the smoke was coming from.
