Which rims & tires for SSM 1.7EL Help 17x7 +40
Which rims & tires for SSM 1.7EL Help 17x7 +40
I have a Satin Silver Metallic 2004 Acura EL.
I don't plan on lowering it in the foreseeable future.
I know it will look like a monster truck but I have the aero kit so hopefully it won't be that bad.
I don't it to look ricey or too ricey
Hopefully I got this correct. First time buying rims.
17x7 +40 with 215/45/17 shouldn't cause any rubbing right?
These are the rims I am looking at, mostly because the price point. I can get these paired with Nitto Neo Gens for under $800 shipped plus local mount/balance in Canada.
Here we go:
Maxxim(Made by Konig) Ferris

Maxxim Maze

Akita Ak-55

Akita Ak-8

This is my car

I like the first ones the best. Not really digging the black with chrome/red lip, looks too rice. But I do agree that your stock rims are pretty nice too. Whats your reason for getting new rims? A drop would definitely look hot.

Yeah, I like the first wheel best.
I dunno why I want to get rims, I'd though it'll look nice and I have to buy new tires anyways. Talk me out? xD
I'd get a drop but I live in Canada where's theres snow in winter, I feel it would bottom out and be a snowplow sometimes. The front already doesn't clear the curb.
Ice/snow would build up behind the wheels and under the side skirts and everytime I go over a big bump or pull out a place where the road is lower than the driveway, it would crush the ice into a bunch of pieces. Im afraid its gonna snap off my side skirts or my rear bumper.
And theres a problem with my El and rear sagging with civic lowering springs because its heavier. And I dont want to change the springs twice a year because I'm already broke. Coilovers are too expensive
