Help with sedan light install
I used search and no one has responded to an earlier post that i replied to so can anyone help me out. I got the inner light on mo prob, but on the outer light, i took the 3 nuts off but something still seems to be holdin light in place. do i need to go up under bumper? is there another bolt i can't see? any help would be appreciated. i'm dying to get these tyc cf altezzas totally on.thanks
if this helps.... http://www.7thgencivic.com/diy/clearing_headlights.cfm it was in the diy section at the top of the website
Here's some help:
For the lights that are attached to the trunk lid; there are 3 nuts on the inside you have to remove then they should easily come off; note, don't over tighten them when you install your altezzas because they will cause moisture to come into your trunk, reason is that the gasket will be smashed.
The lights that are the hardest to remove are the corner ones, there are a total of 4 nuts to remove,
3 inside the trunk and one that is hidden. You have to remove the rear bumper, once you remove the bumper you will notice that the light is sitting on a bracket, remove bracket nut and the light should come off easily, then reinstall new light with bracket in place and same think here don't over tighten, snug is good enough. Then just reverse everything and there you go.
Important note, have someone help you remove the bumper, it will be a Bit(h to get a new paint job if you let it fall to the ground.
PM me if you need any more help on the light install. I installed my own without any help, alot of trail and error.
Hope that helps.

NucRacer, I did my light without removing the bumper. I used an extension to my socket. It saves alot of extra work, but I do agree it does take time and alot of light to see under there. My friend tried it by removing the bumper and it never lined up right again. Thats was why I did it the way I did. Maverick that would be a great idea making a DIY, that way people see what they need to look for instead of guessing. Hope everything came out smooth.
man you people must be idiots. take the whole bumper off? wow. all you have to do is get under your car and reach up there and you can see it pretty clear. it took me 10 mins to get the nuts off the hardest part was finding the damn nut after i let it drop in the undercarrige somewhere. damn just think people before you waste your time.
