Hello Guys,

I have been searching for a while for info regarding this and I have found quite a lot of people with transmission issues. I however didn't see many different options I heard of rebuilding the trans with a race kit, but I didn't see one for my vehicle. Will the race kit fix an already failed transmission? Also are there aftermarket transmissions? I called Honda and they want over 3k for a trans. I would like to know what others have done if its rebuilding who did it who are good mechanics or places of purchase for a rebuild or used one what places to buy them at. I appreciate any assistance that can be given. Sorry if this has been asked I looked through the first 20 pages and searched 2003 transmissions and was only able to find a lot of complaints and talks of the rebuild kits.

a rebuild is only as good as the person who does it. a proper fix with the tci master racing kit could outlast the car. this kit has almost everything you should need to fix the old trans, unless other stuff comes up during the process like torque converter. after the rebuild, its highly recommended to run an external trans fluid filter like the stock 2001 civic HX CVT filter. a fluid cooler like B&M would help too.

Thanks for the info gearbox, I did read your other posts with this link, my only issue was that it says up to 02 will this kit be compatible with the trans? I appreciate the help.

Likely the kit was designed in 02 and never updated, as I understand it the 01-05 transmissions are interchangeable.

yeah it works for all 01-05 auto trans.
