2001 civic HX auto Trans
The transmittion recently went and im wondering if it has to be out of the hx modle or are all the auto trans interchangable. Im Aware that the gear ratio may different but could that hurt anything.

well the ecu is different, so yes it might matter. do you have the regular auto trans or is it the CVT (continuously variable trans) which uses belts instead of gears and is a completely different trans. you have the CVT if you have S (sport mode) on the gear shift.
