Installed Alteeza Grill

So I installed my grill last week, but the OEM gray piece of plastic (behild OEM grill) had to be removed cause it wouldn't fit right. Is it okay to leave this part off or do I have to buy something else? It seems to be holding ok, no shaking or anything, just some bugs get through the grill and end up on the air intake. I figure that I'll just clean this occasionally (carefully not to bend the metal). I'm just wondering if it will affect my engine or something like that in time????

THis grill was designed for the Sedans. Mine went on no prob, but I realized the coupes would have a fit trying to figure that one out. You could just go and get that piece for the sedan at the dealership for a few bucks.

It will fit. You just have to play aroud with the location of the gray piece behind the grill til all the mounting holes line up. I shaved a little off the side edges of my grill to get it to fit into the bumper. Every time I take the bumper off, I have to play around with the gray piece to get it to line up. Since the grill, and the bumper all end up attaching to the middle of the car with this piece, I don't think I would leave it out.

So, I take it that you have the altezza grill on your sedan? I was just going to order the grey plastic piece of the coupe and put it in place of the stock sedan piece.
