Pcv valve and oil consumption?

I have a 01 Civic that is using oil. There is no blue smoke or noticeable oil leaks. Could a bad PCV valve cause this? What else might cause the oil consumption?

alot of times motor just being old. try some auto-rx.com treatment, it will greatly reduce the oil burn.
