Update on compustar alarm!!!please read!!!
I post a new one because no one in there mind would go back to the other topic i wrote
ok when i hold down button 2(autostart) the car beeps 4 times
and i read in the manual it means truck is open so i go and the trunk is not open
i open and close the trunk
then i try it again
this time it beeps 3 times
this means one of the doors are open
i go around the hole car opening and closing everydoor and after i proceded to do it again it beeped 3 times again
is there something wrong with my install???
ive had the alarm for 5 months now and nothing has gone wrong till now

that is weird. who installed ur alarm system? just bring it back.
a local auto store
i want to ask questions because i want to fix it myself
so i dont have to drive all the way back there and waste my gas if i can just do it myself
(local autostore not very local)

yeah...that is one of the dumbest rules though....i got a screwed up alarm. It was in the garage, locked, garage door closed and it kept locking and unlocking itself for no reason. the remote wouldn't work, so I had to "sneak" in when it unlocked itself and pull all the wires out of the little central unit....took it in the next day after school and handed the it to them...they just looked at me and laughed..."you realize that voided your warranty, right?" I just said, "I did no such thing. It was in the closed garage and it was locking and unlocking itself at midnight...and the remote wouldn't work...have fun." He looked up at me, frowned and gave me an appointment...

u better take it back cause theres a setting where you can program what buttons u want for what, so it might be all messed up now if u intiated personal preference of button settings

try putting it into valet mode (button i & iii) where the screen says "zzzzz" and then put it back, i had some weird glitch in my compustar and that seemed to put it back the way it should be...

ya, i did the same thing when my car wouldn't arm it self. only happen sometimes after i finish washing the car. strange. i think it must be the water messing with the sensors.
yea sometimes water messes with my sensors I think...it wont lock/arm sometimes when it rains.
As for button 2 (autostart) the only time its given me problems was when my hood was open.

or you can try double-checking the valet-mode toggle switch itself, your installer shoulda put it somewhere underneath the steering column near the pedals or somethin..
damn, that sucks to hear all the problems you guys are having, these alarms seriously suck in the quality department, my first remote was completely defective (wouldn't re-learn anything after bout a week of usage)
