1976 Civic cvcc question
1976 Civic cvcc question
Hey there I recently found a 76 civic for sale and the guy is selling it for next to nothing. I was wondering if there was anything I should be on the look out for. It has a 4 speed manual with a 4 cylinder..The interior has been redone and looks very good and I can get this car for 100 bucks..Should I do it?

Re: 1976 Civic cvcc question
I bought a 72 datsun 510 a while back. When working with cars that old the one thing to look for is rust.
Check under the carpen and in the fender wells. Also all around the fire wall and in the trunk. And get familiar with CARBS.
If you do end up getting it keep us informed of the progress. I love those old 70's civics. Would love to see what you do with it.
Also make sure the gauge cluster works. Its a bitch finding parts like that on a car so old. Trust me.

Apparently it has a brand new alternator and water pump.

haha i got that car now and its flat black with red hood scoops and rims. Shaved the door handles and put a new fan and hooked the carb and vacuum line's up right. The wiring was a mess but that was easy. I will get pic's soon just finished it tonight.
