wanna drop my 01 civic 4door

Total complete newbie here guys, i would like to drop my 01 civic. im getting mix emotions cause friends are telling me so many things. Some are telling me to just get coilover all around, some are telling me just go with Tien S-Tech springs (drops 1.6 front and back) with Tokico HP Gas Strut.

Any suggestion guys.

Re: wanna drop my 01 civic 4door

either setup would do you fine. I started out with tein s-techs with Tokico blues (the HP shocks you mentioned), and then I upgraded to Tein Super Street (with pillowball upper mounts) coilovers. I'd probably be running the s-tech and blues setup to this day if I didn't find these super streets at the deal I got 'em at.

It's really about what you want. The s-tech/blues setup will give you a subtle lowered stance, slightly stiffer than stock, but a comfy ride overall with performance benefits. A coilover suspension system will allow you to adjust the height, and some dampering.

I recently raised my car a little bit so my tires would stop eating my fenderwell linings, and I gotta say, it was a royal pain in the ***. I guess it was kinda my fault for not keeping the threads on the coilovers clear of dirt and stuff.

just dont get cheap coilovers. anything under $600 a set is usually junk.

Get a decent set of coilovers Megan or the type off ebay for around 900 bucks.
