Hey all,

I thought I would let you all know that lately my car kept popping out of 2nd gear when I was downshifting from 3rd to 2nd and cornering. Brought it to honda and they replaced an "o ring" which has completely changed the feel of the tranny which has seemed to stop the gear popping. But as I looked at the work order it says, gear popping out... repair as per bulletin. SO just be carefull because apparently this is a common thing..

Uh yeah we established that a while ago. TSB#01-081 and there are a couple different things covered under that service bullitin regarding the tranny.

Sounds like a worn out rubber grommet...wouldn't the KumoSport DirectShift negate this problem?

Well like I already said there are a few things that are covered under that service bullitin. One is the bushing at the end of the sift cable is corroded and caused very hard, tight shifting. The second is the problem refered to (car popping out of second gear while driving) the service bullitin says for that problem to replace shift fork for gears on and two and replace gears one, two and five. That is what they should have done to his car. That is what they had to do to mine. But, now I have a hard time getting it into first and third gears sometimes.

i had that problem also. at about 9000 miles t started popping out. its a real quick fix atleast...
