Oil Leak

My mechanic says that the B16A2 engine in my Civic is leaking oil from the part indicated with an arrow. Is this possible? Do i have to replace it and if so what is the part called?

Re: Oil Leak

Yes it is possible, the piece comes of as 1 whole unit and it has a gasket to prevent oil leaking from it. It's possible you might just have to replace the gasket depending on where it's coming from.

Re: Oil Leak

I am referring to the part below the VTEC solenoid not the solenoid itself. It is bolted directly into the cylinder head and I now suspect it is the engine coolant temperature sensor.

Re: Oil Leak

Looking at the picture, it really seems to me that it's pointing to the bottom of the spool valve to me... but, it's hard to tell I'm also no expert on the b16.
