To Z-max or not to Z-max
A lot of my friends recommend this stuff and they now sell a cheaper kit that includes just the oil and fuel treatment losing the transmission and small engine additives for $25. I'm up to 15,000 miles its time for some kind of treatment , Any OPinIONs?????
Only 15,000 miles on a new honda civic, my personal opinion would be to wait. That engine should still be in really good shape and those treatment might actually "hurt" a car in that early of it's life.
Just my $0.02
I might be wrong though, and if I am I'm sure someone will correct me!

Hey your car is still very young. There is no need for that stuff whatsoever. I don't really believe in that ZMax stuff in my opinion anyways. That is just my thoughts. Just get your regular tuneups.

That ZMax is a scam
Haha.... I actually had an URL describing the US govt suing them (or was it Cdn?) as it was 100% fake. That crap you buy is actually a cooking oil by product, and doesn't nothing more than allow you to fry eggs
It's true! I'll have to try to find the URL....

<< Thanx guys, I'll just stick 2 the maintenance. Also, when and with what should I use. >>
I was wondering because the dealership told me 16,000 miles and they were goind to add some fuel additive for $50. I gave the the finger..
Use top quality oil of the correct weight ant specs and a filter that meets specs and change every 3000 to 5000 miles depending on your driving conditions and forget about all that other stuff. What you need is already in the specified oil. I've been using Castrol GTX for 30 years in all kinds of cars and never had an oil related problem. Had over 95,000 on my Firebird LT1 when I sold it a couple months ago and never ever had a single engine problem.
