ok i have a 1990 civic, it started up fine but when ever i give it gas it shuts off... what would cause this, i am leaning toward the fuel pump but im not sure, can anyone help me?
Re: 1990 honda civic d17zc
fuel pump sounds like a start also check the throttle cable to see if any play or if it is tight. this problem should be easy to fix provided your a good trouble troubleshooter.
Edit*** the more i thought about it the more i thought of different things that could cause it. try checking your O2's and your CHTS. even give the MAFS a look over and hit it with a multimeter. or check your IATS if you have one. if i were you i would check every sensor thats fuel / air ratio related. also check your relays etc. shouldnt be too hard to figure it out once you give it a good looking over. Gl with the trouble shooting
