Re: which brand short ram intake?

Oh my, do not spend the money on items to make the civic faster, as the car is not suitable for performance. I love driving my civic to get groceries and to attend my bingo sessions. My old car, a Geo Metro was much faster, but I didn't like the queasy feeling I got from the acceleration of the Geo. My civic is so gentle, that when I floor it, it is a wonderfully gentle experience, and no queasy fast acceleration like my old Geo Metro. You will also lose the great gas mileage. My civic accelerates about the same as my grandsons moped, so the civic is plenty fast. You should not alter the wonderful gentle civic. Good luck sonny.

Re: which brand short ram intake?

You are being very harsh in light of my good advice. The civic is a delightful car and using it for anything other than its intended purpose is disturbing to me.

And respect your elders sons, I am probably three times your age and I am still "rocking" in my civic like you youngsters. Only I rock to the oldies, and you youth have that loud banging sound music from different types of speaker boxes. But I still rock too for my age. Do not abuse the civic, it is not engineered for anything other than a reliable method of running your errands and going on trips. It was not designed for what you suggest.

Lol your an idiot, and it wasnt harsh words for you putting the same thing in every single thread lol you put that post under the thread that was about siphoning gas lol. What is the easiest way to siphon gas. NO no no son dont race the civic lol. Your so stupid. What bout the si and type r huh. They where made for that purpose thus they have bucket seats for the high speed turns and comfort. And who are you to tell people that made the car that its not made for racing how bout you go tell them that lol. they make hondas for racing. Your old and you do not know anything so just get out of here. I know alot of old men in there 60's or older that are still into cars and they like all cars no matter what it is. They just love every car that looks good and is fast.

Re: which brand short ram intake?

Well your not so get out of here, if he wants to mod the civic then its his decision not yours. I also work on my civic and I love to work on it. And civics are not the only thing I work on either. i love working on all cars. I have a old ford ranger with a 302 in it that I am working on. And everyone on here has a love for cars and working on them and making them better.

And if the civic was not meant to race then why do they make performance parts for it to upgrade the valvetrain, block and so forth. These 4 cyl motors have potential to get up there and hang with other cars it just takes time and work. I kno someone that was on pinks all out and placed third on it. His name is jason goforth and he lives in asheville nc. And he drives a crx, so dont tell me that they dont have potential.

WTF? Last I checked a short ram will not make you lose gas milage
This guy is very ignorant, and obviously has no clue at all about the import scene.
It sounds like he is taking cheap shots at the civic, fast as a moped?

Re: which brand short ram intake?

dnice78, the moped comment is true. I DID beat my grandson in a race up against his moped. I am not for racing my car, but my grandson wanted to. I had no trouble beating him, but he stayed near my rear bumper for the first two blocks of the race. Now please dont tell my misses that I raced. My wife Millie would kill me if she knew. I beat the moped fair and square, so that is a win for the civic. If i came across as bragging about the win to you all, I apologize. i was just saying that no moped should win in a race against the good 'ol civic. So dont think I was bragging, as I am sure you all could probably beat mopeds as well.

At least you were driving a civic, not one of those gay, fanboy mustangs/camaro, which would have no chance against my Honda Ruckus (50cc)

Re: which brand short ram intake?

Yes, I was driving my civic. And I only have a civic, I do not have a mustang/camaro automobile, just my civic. I must admit I do not know anything about the mustang/camaro that you mention. Are they similar to the civic? I have never seen the Honda mustang/camaro model. so I guess they are made only overseas?

Pardon my ignorance, as my mental recollection is not on par as in my younger days. Perhaps I have heard of a mustangcamaro, but may have forgotten over time.

Re: which brand short ram intake?

I am 83. If I were to lie about my age, I would try to say I was in my 60's to sound younger. But unfortunately, I am not in my 60's anymore. I enjoy my civic just the same as you do.
