Struts for best ride?
Struts for best ride?
My 2003 Civic Sedan seems to have a harsh ride at 62,000 miles. With four people in it, it's worse. As of this morning when it's 17F below zero outside, I'm hearing clunking sounds from the rear suspension when I hit bumps or turn.
This is a daily commuter and family weekend car. I like nice handling, but ride comfort needs to come first.
Given that, what struts should I consider? With this mileage, should I be checking and/or replacing other suspension items?
thanks,
Bryan

Re: Struts for best ride?
Tokico blues with an inch drop springs would be perfect. You can go coilovers too just look for one with a lighter spring rate. Any reputable aftermarket strut would be ok to be honest just don't slam your ride (tokico blue, tokico dspec, koni yellow, bilstein struts, or KYB GR2). I have had koni yellows with springs too and the ride was great and handled well.
