Installing Mesh Grill?

Is there any easy way to install a mesh grill without taking off your bumper?

I just did it today. The bumper is easy to remove and replace: 4 screws and 9 snap locks. Go to Lowes and get 2 pieces of 36" gutter gaurd ($1.17 each) and a box of Super Stenth Stanley Hot glue ($4.95). Takee the bumper off and cut out the part you want to mesh (I cut the whole black part out) and from the back begin bending and glueing the mesh to the inside of the bumper. You will have to piece the middle, just line the holes up really good and overlap it a couple of inches, no one will ever inspect it enough to notice. Total cost: $7.29 (assuming you own a glue gun) total savings from avoiding grillcraft's overpriced version: $123.71

I have an aluminum mesh grill installed on my civic and it just actually is "tied" with strong fishing line to the original grill. It looks great and you can't even see the original one behind it. Very easy and you don't need to take the bumper off!

Ya, I got a grill from ATGrills.com. I used snap ties to hold it to the black perferated part in the bumper.. Looks great, and you can barely see the snape ties.. I took off my bumper and put then to where they look good though so the skinny part of the tie shows instead of the big bulky lock part. I painted it white and it looks awesome w/ the inca pearl.. Good luck with your grill search . Later

if ya'll DIY the grille, make sure to put a coat of rust-oleum paint or something to keep it from rusting.

Just used this same method on my buddy's Altima last night....no bumper removal, drilled small holes on the existing grill & tied up with cable ties...looks mean now!
