Odd question

So I am not sure if I am posting this in the right forum. I was jacking my 05 civic ex 2 dr to see if a set of rims would fit. When I removed the front driver tire i notice i could see through to the other side of my car. Is the a trim part missing?? Or is it meant to be like that?

Re: Odd question

There is a trim piece missing, its part of that inner fender that covers the timing belt. I think its there just to protect the engine bay from dirt and water kicked up by the tires

Re: Odd question

On my 04 EX there is a small part by the springs where it's exposed and I can see through to the other side or the car.. I am pretty sure it came like that.

Re: Odd question

its supposed to look like that. the plastic protective trim only covers around the outside of the tire itself. the inward part is open.
