Head Gasket

I have a 86 hatchback. It was having a problem with overheating. I flushed the cooling system and replaced the rad cap. All seemed fine but when I went to drive it yesterday it seemed like something was wrong. Also some water was coming out of the tailpipe. I belive I am dealing with a blown head gasket. It also heats up very quickly now and I noticed that there was some bubbling of water around the exhaust manifold. The gasket set is less then 80 bucks from BAP and I was planning on doing the work myself. I just don't know how long of a project it will be and also if I should replace anything else while I have the top end apart. The car has 110000 miles on it.
