Lightbulb Shaving emblems?

If i take off the "civic" emblem off the back of my car is it flat or will it leave holes? What about the "ex" emblem?

i am almost positive that the ex and civic emblems are just stuck on and will leave no holes if pulled off.....the "H" emblem does have holes under it though

Re: Shaving emblems?

You can take the civic and EX off without filling holes... here's what I did, take a screwdriver and wrapp it with a towel or just be carefull. Make sure you don't touch the paint, just the silver decal and slowly peal it back. After the silver decal is removed, get some 3M adheasive remover and soak the blackish film that is left. Then use your fingernail and scrape off the majority of leftover adheasive. You should then be left with a barely visable layer of glue. Grab a rag, soak it with 3M and rub until glue is gone.

I took the "LX" off my 98 and it left no holes. I just pulled it off and used some Goo Gone to get the remnants of the adhesive off. It cleaned up real nice.

Re: Shaving emblems?

try putting a little heat before pulling it off....there should be less of the black adhesive left on the car when it comes off.
