Alternator Belt Removal 98 Civic
How do u remove the alternator belt on a 98 Civic DX 1.8 5 speed. I see there is a bolt with a long opening to move the alt forward to loosen the belt but what else needs removed? i cant see anything else
Re: Alternator Belt Removal 98 Civic
You have to loosen the pivot bolt from underneath and the adjustment bolt from the top bracket.
You can then cut the belt to get it off.
If you want to put a new one on then you have to remove the A/C compressor belt and also the lower engine mount.
