Question Installing a steering wheel from the EX-L

Hello all,

I am planning to buy a new Civic LX coupe this month and have what might be a really easy question for the technically inclined members here. My objective is to get both cruise & audio controls on my steering wheel, as the LX version lacks them. Would an EX-L steering wheel fit the LX nicely and easily? Would anyone happen to know how much the EX-L steering wheel goes for? I only found steering wheel leather covers on Ebay - not the steering wheels themselves.

Would anyone happen to know the dealers' MSRP/invoice on the steering wheel?

Thanks in advance,

Albert

It is the 8th-gen Civic LX but it does come with cruise (just like the 7th-gen LX). What it doesn't come with is the audio controls on the steering wheel (that's only present on the EX and the EX-L, the Si & the Hybrid).

You should investigate as to if the associated wiring is present or not. (they most likely use a different clock spring assembly with a different amount of connections)
