okay, what kit do you have and do you like it? have you noticed any ill effects on your car? what did you have to buy to go along with it, such as plugs and wires? just wondering cause i finally have the money to get one
Linck'd
check it out, if you have ~$2,000 then get this kit and all the extra accessories that are mentioned. At the end you can see the final hp and torque figures the kit and all the add-ons produce for our car. By far, this is the best kit they have for our cars and oh yeah it's wet just in case you were wondering.

Well a guy in my old town bought a new dodge truck and had Nitrous and like 32K he was coming back in for a new engine so there are side affects, but if you get it hooked up right I dunno if you would still have side affects or not. Never had Nitrous on any of my vehicles never cared to really but it would be cool just to have a ride with some NOS for the hell of it.

well, i do know that there are only certain times when you should use it, but what i did want to know is has anyone used it on our civics and what is it like, and have they noticed anything wrong with their car, and so on
I have a nitrous express kit and I love it. Nitrous is not harmfull to your engine as long as you follow the rules:
1. Only use it at wide open throttle
2. Only use it above 3000 RPM
3. Dont use it for more than 15 seconds at a time without giving a few minutes for the solenoids to cool down
4. DONT EVER LET THE ENGINE HIT THE REV OR SPEED LIMITER WHILE YOU ARE SPRAYING. (the rev limiter on our cars includes a fuel cutoff. with no fuel the engine goes lean and BOOM!!!)
5. Dont ever spray more than the nitrous kit manufacturer recomends. (75hp in the case of nitrous express but remember this is the limit. its safer to stick with a 50hp shot.)
6. Have fun but be smart. (only use it at the track when your racing.)

You need to do more research yourself other than asking other people. Trust me you'll learn more plus you can weed out the lies from the truth. NOS company told me if used properly nitrous is the safest way of adding horsepower to a stock motor. Allot of people use it I have a dry system on mine.
<< wet, dry, what is the difference >>
dry system injects through your intake
wet injects through your intake manifold which also mix gas and nitrous together.
From professionals that I have asked it is safer on our cars to go with a dry system because the way the intake manifold curves on the 2001 civic a wet system can puddle up in the bottom of it.
Also something else you will have to get is a adjustable fuel pressure regulator because the one the 2001 civic came out with is nonadjustable. I order the universal AEM regulator.
any more questions i'm sure anyone that is really running nitrous on there car "not thinking they are" can answer your question. Although it is better to read for yourself.

NOS#5122(dry kit) will not work on 7th gen civics. returnless fuel system.
<< I order the universal AEM regulator. >>
its not going to work.

Okay just nevermind I have call NOS serveral times and talk to them about it. They told me you don't NEED a return line. You will be running rich for like a second but it won't hurt anything.

following all these rules.. how would you spray on an auto?
to use nitrous on an auto if you want to be safe as can be use an RPM window switch witch turns your nitrous on and off at preset RPM levels or just use a momentary pushbutton and only push it when the time is right. Also, like I said these are just guidelines, I have hit my nitrous at 2500rpm and it didnt hurt anything but I didnt do it on purpose and I dont intend on doing it again. 1slo2k1civic: you said you already have a universal fuel pressure regulator on your car, do you have any pics? Oh thats right your a lying piece of crap. please stop giving people bad advice. And by the way if you spray a dry shot with that regulator you go LEAN for a second not rich. And considering each cylinder fires 50 times a second at 6000 rpm that one second of lean could mean lights out for your 1slo2k1civic.

>> No its not mounted under my ***, I was trying leaving the line at a lower rpm to cut down on wheelspin and at wide open throttle when the car hooked the engine speed fell to 2300 rpm or so. Nice picture by the way, who took that picture of you running at the special olympics? That must have been a very special day for you! All Im saying is IF you are running an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator and it works than you are the first one to do it, congrats! Personally though, untill I see a pic of it expect to be called a fuggin liar. Hey, next time you run in the special olympics you should get us all tickets. We'll come cheer for you! Until then I guess youll just have to be content with just being 1slo2k1civic with a crappy nitrous kit.
sorry but i still call it bullsh!t. if you really have this working the way you say you do, then HKS would have a turbo out for our cars with no fuel issues involved. but as you know, this is not the case.
