Hey guys,

I have a 97 LX and the manifold cracked so I put a megan racing header pipe on it ($200 compared to $700 for the manifold and cat converter), did the O2 sensor spacer to trick the computer and everything is great except there is this buzz around 3-4k RPM when under load.

Any ideas how to solve this problem?

from the engine? maybe its something loose? did you bolt everything up good? is it the actual SOUND of the engine? or does it sound like rattle?

i have this same problem but only at idle speed. my whole exhaust starts rattling. it sounds right under the center console. where the headers/exhaust connect. i put in a different donut seal and have changed the size of the bolts, and also added this exhaust sealer stuff. it works fine for a month or two but it always comes back. its a pain getting under there every few months to re-do it. i hate pullling up to stop lights like this cause it sounds so trashy. .... u can try different bolts and the sealer stuff, c if that works for you. but if anyone has any ideas. id b intreste 2 know also

The fasteners on heatshield on the downpipe is known to rust out. The heatshield will stay in place and not seem loose but it will rattle at certain resonant frequencies at certain rpms.
