Hello fellow civic owners. I just bought a 2001 civic lx coupe, and this is my first time posting on this forum... after driving it for a while now I have noticed that sometimes 2nd gear pops out every now and then usually when I am downshifting into it. does any one know whatsup with that?. I have had my mechanic look at it and he says the transmission is fine. he changed the tranny fluid and said hopefully that will be that,, if any of you have any experience or advice for me i woul appreciate it.... aside from that I am very pleased with the car and intend on making some improvements to it.. i would also like some suggestions on what to improve.... i bought some rims already and a system... just dont really know much about the civics yet... hopefully can learn more here. thanks for reaing my post and I look forward to hearing from you guys. -Dan

there has been issues with sincro rings. i have not experenced this. i don't think much can be done....

I was thinking more along the lines of a chipped gear causing it not to stay engaged.
