Ignition Problem Please Help!
Car – 2002 Civic EX
Ever since the purchase of my civic I have had this problem. When I sit in traffic for an extended period of time the car will shut off. I start the car back up and it runs horrible. The car has no power and does not drive over 5 mph. When I shut the car off for the second time the car does not start back up. The car just continues to turn over. Now If I let the car sit for an hour, the car will start up and run fine. When I look at the temperature it indicates that it is within normal range. The car is not overheating.
I have replaced the coils and the spark plugs. The check engine light comes on, but the code just says problem with the ignition system, engine misfire. Please help me figure this out!
