help!!!

i have an 03 civic lx that i have been dealing with problems for a yr now ...last yr went through 4 alternators and 5 batteries...worst part i dont even have a system anymore so it isn't that. car is continually loosing power when it is off. i got something to isolate the battery so that it wont dye, well that didn't solve the situation, the car is now sometimes dying while it is idling at an intersection. among electrical problems include power locks, some dash lights, and the horn. After taking out the faulty alarm and fixing the trunk light it still does it, and i dont have any aftermarket wiring anymore since the system is out, any suggestions? all the mechanics i have brought it to keep telling me alternator or battery and after going through 4 alternators and 5 batteries i really dont think that is the answer anymore.

on top of that issue, i am now having a throttle problem...the car at idle will jump to 2000rpm stay there for about 5 seconds or so then drop to 500rmp...some times it will do it while coming to a stop and the car is still rolling...i assume tps but am not 100% sure nor can i seem to find someone that sells just the tps and honda wants $700 for the tps with the throttle body...anyone know where i can get just the tps? or does anyone have any suggestions as to what is the issue if it isn't the tps? Im so lost with these situations...the car has sat parked in the garage more in the past yr then driving cause nothing seems to be working to fix it.

Re: help!!!

Guessing it could be a problem with the car computer. I would look into that. Otherwise I would only assume it has to be wiring somewhere.

Re: help!!!

have you done a paricitic battery test? do you take it to honda or some little crap shop? if you take it to honda, they will keep it till it's fixed! it needs a midtronics electrical systems test run, which will issolate the issue. then fix it. it's too bad, i could tell you what it is if i had it in my shop...

Re: help!!!

You also need to pull your throttle body and shoot it with carb cleaner to clean out all the buildup. Gearbox has a DIY, so look up his post on it.
