My clutch just started making a loud grinding/whistling noise. From a stand-still, I can't get the car into gear when the car is running. When it's off, it shifts fine. The only way I can move the car is to start it in gear with the clutch pressed. Then it starts while moving forward. The pedal feels a little weak. I'm thinking something between the pedal and the clutch broke. Any ideas? It's a 2001 ex with 180k miles.

I just checked the price for both parts. $155.00. Well that won't set me back too far.
