Does the Pioneer F90bt double-din fit 03 coupe?
Application: 2003 Honda Civic EX coupe
Head unit: Pioneer Premier AVIC-F90BT http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...VIC-F90BT.html

Wanted to see if anyone here got this double-din deck to fit there 7th gen civic (01-05 years in coupe/sedan body style). What kind of modding/custom fitting was required to make it fit? Car audio shop said it may require custom fitting which would run me $250 for labor alone
and lastly, how do you like it?

i dont have it, but as far as i know most double dins work on this civic just becasue they have the real estate. the only trouble i see is attaching it to the oem cage. and i dont see them having to cut anything. the OEM radio and that pocket both come out together leaving a nice opening for your radio.

How do you like the AVIC-F90BT? I have the AVIC-N2 and think it's on it's way out. I have heard the F90 has a horrible delay in start up even after the 2.0 firmware update (40-60 seconds to initially load the GPS).
Also, how is the visibility of the screen? One of my concerns with flush mounted monitors in the 7th generation civics is the position and angle of our center consoles.

I am pretty happy with it. The start up time isnt the best, I havent really timed it, but I dont think it comes anywhere near 60seconds maybe 30 if that. You can control the volume at startup. Visibility is awesome, I was worried about it, but even when I have my sunroof open glare isnt too much of a problem. I am still waiting for the trim bezel to see how it all comes together. Right now I am not sure if it sticks out too much since the bezel is not on. My major complaint is the Vocie recognition with the ipod.. it has to load every damn time which depending on how many songs u have can take a few mins, but u can still shuffle through songs as it loads so I guess its not too bad.
