water on driver side floor

water on driver side floor

car developed a bad mildew smell. car is an 03 civic ex auto 4 door. right by the fuel/trunk popper on the floor it smells like straigh mildew and its worse when it rains

i didnt go looking crazy into it its dark out but anyone got any idea what it could be?

could be anything from a bad body seam or weld to a worn weather strip seal on that door. the way your going to have to look for it is take off some panels on that side, get a water hose and with the door shut and windows up let the water come down the roof and along side of the body of the car. sit in there and pay attention. look for wet spots or running water. thats the best way to find it. if its a weather strip around the door, get a new seal. you can be walked thru installation. if its a body leak, there is body sealer readily available at auto stores. the stuff stinks tho...
