Reseting the Maint Required light
Reseting the Maint Required light
I didn't find this on here so thought I would post a helpful tidbit. Recently my Civic threw a couple Codes my way. O2 sensor and IAT sensor. I replaced them and the light center Maint Required light didnt go off. I unhooked the Neg terminal and pulled the #6 ECM fuse for 2 minutes. The Maint Required light was still on. I went to my shop class to see if it was still throwing the same codes or different ones. After running the OBDII scanner... it wasnt throwing [any codes! WTF?!
Apparently if you 1) Turn off the car 2) Push and hold the odometer/tripometer button (the one on the right) 3) Turn the ignition to on (don't start the car) 4) Continue to hold the button for about 10-15 secs, it will reset the light!
If something is still wrong it will light up again, but if for some reason it doesnt want to turn off and there is nothing wrong then this will save you from wondering what's making your baby sick.

Re: Reseting the Maint Required light
Maintenance required light will show up every 4k-5k miles, I forget what the interval was. It won't light up "if something is still wrong", that's what your CEL is for. the MRL is there to remind you to do an oil change, lol.
