used '84 suspension parts? Hello,
as a former owner of a fun '84 CRX, I'm excited to have recently picked up a '84 civic hatch for the upcoming 2008 24 Hours of LeMons race. However, the suspension is in pretty sad shape. Can anyone here help me find some *dirt cheap* used "performance" shocks/struts? We've only got about $50 bucks left in the $500 max budget, and that has to pay for a few things (like a used radiator). We could pull some out of a car in the junkyard, but shocks are hard to judge from the outside!
Does anyone here have some kicking around in the corner that they don't need? They don't need to be great as they only need to be better than what we have (stock)! I'm in northern CA if that matters...
I've tried to search the classifieds but it's hard to find stuff for the older cars there...
