Re: EM2 LX exhaust piping
The mufflers are the same, so it will bolt up. But performance wise, if you keep the small pipe upstream, there is no point to increasing it downstream, the bottle neck is already created. Anything that says it fits will fit- you dont have to worry about the pipes not lining up because they will- just one will have a larger diameter then the other.

Re: EM2 LX exhaust piping
the piping for the axleback is 60mm. will that fit right on? because its suppose to come as a whole cat-back system, but the guy is only selling the exhaust.
Re: EM2 LX exhaust piping
wut axleback is it?? is it an espelir axelback?? if it is, i saw it on honda-tech for sale for pretty cheap. the only thing is, u gotta modify the piping either on the axleback or b-pipe to make it fit

Re: EM2 LX exhaust piping
yeah i got an EX. but its not for my car, its for the other EM2 i have at my house, the white 05 LX. but since the piping size was diff, i was wondering if i had to modify it because normally the espelir exhaust is a whole catback w. a wider piping. Man... if i had to modify the axleback, might as well just put it on my own.. lol
so in conclusion, i have to modify the piping because the stock piping is smaller than the piping for the axleback?

Re: EM2 LX exhaust piping
oh..the catback exhausts and the stock piping mounts differently? danggit. Its was made for an LX btw, so i was hoping it would just bolt right up to the stock LX piping... makes me want to just swap exhausts now..

Re: EM2 LX exhaust piping
It should match up. The bolt holes might need to be drilled a littler larger if they are in different spots, but I'm thinking they are the same.
Re: EM2 LX exhaust piping
no, they won't match up. my friend bought the same espelir exhaust, and he tried putting just the axleback on the stock b-pipe, and it didn't fit at all. the flanges for the b-pipe and axleback are in different locations

Re: EM2 LX exhaust piping
ohhh i see what your'e getting at. Its not the piping/length of the exhaust but rather the place where it bolts up. grr i would hate to hack it off to make it fit =\

Re: EM2 LX exhaust piping
Yeah, I dont know why the companies that sell axle-backs cant just agree on a standard so that you dont have to hack the pipe and weld a new flange on just to use it.
Re: EM2 LX exhaust piping
yo qijian, ive been iming this guy on honda-tech, and he says he has the b-pipe for the espelir for another $40 so $90 for the whole exhaust

Re: EM2 LX exhaust piping
stock FTW...especially because i got a mod exhaust ticket haha...i have to say my car is faster with the stock exhaust than my custom straight pipe...i've raced my friends corolla as a comparison and i barely edged him out with the straight pipe and now i take his car out much better with the stock exhaust and ghetto intake lol
Re: EM2 LX exhaust piping
just buy the whole thing, its still way way cheaper then buying new
