exhaust or intake resonator? If you take off the exhaust resonator/silencer you will be super loud, especially with a straight thru muffler like magnaflow.

what tube thingy? You should just be able to take it off. I can not remember a tube on my resonator. Good luck!

If your talking about exhaust get a high flow resinator cause if you don't have one it sound like crap. I put on one mine after about 2 weeks of loud crap plus I got a ticket for loud exhaust.

Just take it out and let the air come in through the hole in the box that houses the filter.

its less restrictive and opens up more air but since its so close to the engine block ur sucking in alot of hot air... if nething get a CAI....

and removing the resonator unit doens't mess with ur backpressure... --;

removing the resonator takes away some of what little low end torque you have...... supposed to add high end HP a bit, but ive never noticed a difference.

its all placebo, like ashort shifter. if you like the sound, then go for it. its all about what you want.

i got all anoyed on the hyway tho, its too noisy and irritating, so i put mine back on.

and if your car gets messed up and you take to teh dealership and they see you dont have it in there, they will blame the problem on that and you dont get warrantee.

what, 4 bolts? 6 if you include the piping that goes to behind the battery?

yeah. they are 10 milli, i believe, if not, then 12. and once you unbolt it, it slides right out. presto!

heres a problem tho: when you take your resonator out, there seems to be a problem with your intake sucking up alot more rice into the engine, i dunno..........

but my friend SWORE it made my car faster, so maybe rice DOES mean more performance?

you guys rule, one mention of the "R" word gets a post closed in the "other" civic forum, and a brisk warning followed by threats of ban =p
